The latest patch of WoW’s Shadowlands beta was probably the last. The expansion now appears to be complete.
The beta of the upcoming WoW Shadowlands expansion is coming to an end. The latest update clearly states that Blizzard is pretty much done with development. So nothing should stand in the way of a release in a few weeks, right?
What happened? The Shadowlands beta received a new patch yesterday. What is particularly noticeable is that the version 9.0.2 patch is now marked as “Release Candidate” in the launcher. This means that this version of the patch will be considered “finished” by Blizzard and will be released to players if no major bugs are found. If even bigger bugs or problems are found, there will definitely be another update.
Blizzard now appears to be on schedule and nothing stands in the way of the release of Shadowlands on November 24th.
What the players say: In the comments on Reddit and wowhead, players are rather skeptical. Here you find “sporty” that Blizzard is already keeping Shadowlands ready for release. Some classes and specializations still complain of bugs or balance problems.
Usually, Blizzard is now pretty good at putting in hotfixes and patches quickly should acute problems arise. In the first few days after a new expansion is released, it’s common for minor bug fixes to appear every few hours.
It will be interesting
If you hear different voices in the different forums, the prevailing opinion is that it is still too early for Shadowlands to come out.
However, for the sake of fairness, it must be said that such rumors were loud with every WoW expansion, but only with “Battle for Azeroth” were they completely right.
As the developers took a long time this time to design systems and mechanics like Torghast or Pacts, we can only hope that it will be enough for a clean version with a lot of fun. In any case, it remains interesting how the delayed release is going.

Are you in beta and think Blizzard is ready for release? Or should Shadowlands have been postponed for a few more weeks?
