All Blacks support Ofa Tu’ungafasi will no longer play through the Tri-Nations after being suspended for three games for a high tack that saw him sent off in their clash with the Wallabies.
Tu’ungafasi was awarded a red card at the start of the Suncorp Stadium Test for an awkward hit on Australian fielder Tom Wright.
He faced a SANZAAR disciplinary hearing on Tuesday after the All Blacks had elected to fight the prosecution, but was given the ban, which is until February 20 inclusive.
This includes New Zealand’s remaining two Tri-Nations matches against Argentina, including Saturday’s Bankwest Stadium clash.

The judicial committee found the foul play deserved a six-week mid-range entry point, which was halved due to the cleanup of Tu’ungapasi’s criminal record.
All Blacks manager Ian Foster said he was sorry to lose the prop, but accepted the decision.
“It is what it is. You entered the trial and we felt it was worthy of a conversation, and we were heard and presented our case and fully complied with the decision,” Foster said. All Blacks TV.
“Even though we are really disappointed with Ofa, we are fully aware of the process, the structure of the high tackle and [we] Go ahead.”
Wallabies flanker Lachie Swinton was banned for four games on Monday for a similar tackle, which also led to a red card.
