The iPhone 12 is, according to Apple, 11% thinner, 15% smaller and 16% lighter than the previous generation. The next generation chipset is called A14 Bionic. Built on a 5nm process, it uses 6 cores: 2 high performance and 4 efficient.
Apple has a new wireless charger called MagSafe, which uses magnets to align the phone for efficient charging. Its charging speed is 15W.
The iPhone 12 is a very cool phone and its simple design is enough to thrill most Apple fans around the world. However, the new smartphone lacks one important feature for these times: the ability to unlock the phone with Touch ID. In fact, Face ID is “reserved” for premium iPhones and Touch ID is available on models prior to the iPhone SE. Obviously, the design of the latest models does not allow for Touch ID. But still. Apple’s iPad Air, released in September, moved Touch ID to the power button at the top of the device, and fans would have hoped the iPhone 12 had something similar.
