Since its creation in 2004, with support from the Global Fund, the American Aid Plan against AIDS, “President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief” (PEPFAR Haiti) has diagnosed nearly 130,000 people living with HIV in Haiti (PLWHIV).

Currently, PEPFAR Haiti provides antiretroviral treatment (ARV) at 117,000 PLHIV. USAID’s Supply Chain Management Project continues to ensure an uninterrupted supply of ARV drugs and essential health products to more than 260 supported sites across Haiti and has implemented a multi-month strategy to enable 3-6 months of drug delivery for all patients.

To further increase access to services and strengthen referrals between communities and health care facilities, USAID directly supported more than 1,300 community health workers and supervisors in Haiti’s ten departments helping HIV patients. continue to take their ARV medications.
