Huawei has announced an alliance with Cecotec, a Spanish manufacturer of home devices. The agreement between the companies provides for the integration of their products and the sale of Cecotec appliances in Huawei stores in Spain.
The agreement between Huawei and Cecotec can be considered “the beginning of a new strategy” by the Chinese technology giant that will focus more on technologies dedicated to him domestic technological ecosystem and less on cell phones, said Spanish medium Xataka.
The agreement signed between Huawei and Cecotec provides for the publication of the applications of the Spanish brand in AppGallery, the shop designed by the Chinese company as an alternative to Google Play. In addition, a number of Cecotec products, including the famous Conga robotic vacuum cleaner, will be sold in Huawei stores in Spain.
The first app by Cecotec, now available on Huawei virtual store, allows you to control your devices from Celia – the voice assistant launched by the Chinese company at the beginning of the year – and also programmed through HiLink, Huawei’s device management software.
Selling products from other manufacturers in Huawei stores in Spain will be increasingly common, the media noted. According to the company itself, new agreements will be signed with other local partners by the end of 2020. Cecotec was the first of them.
