After the announcement of Google that would end up with unlimited free storage in your app Google photos, users quickly search for alternative or cheaper solutions.

Although the content present in the application can remain completely free, there are many users who prefer to have all their content on a single platform, or who simply want to keep it in a mobile container at home.

For this reason, today we will teach you how to download all our content from Google Photos, and for this we will have to use Google Takeout, which is a service that allows you to obtain all the data stored in your Google account. There you can download all your data at the same time. Then your contacts, Google Drive files, YouTube videos you’ve already watched, and everything associated with your Google account can be downloaded there.

You will be able to download your content, do whatever you want with it, always without affecting your account, since until the opposite order, the content will remain in the account.

How to download our Google Photos content

  1. Go to takeout.google.com and log in with your Google account (if you haven’t already). download Google Photos
  2. Once the website opens, simply click on the “Deselect All” option.
  3. Scroll down> select Google Photos> scroll down> click Next Step.
  4. In the following option, you get two options, including exporting once and exporting every two months for a year. You also have to choose between .zip and .tgz files. Google also allows you to select the file size limit, available up to 50GB. Once this is done, press Create Export.
  5. Google will send an email to your account for verification. The message says “a Google data file has been requested”. Just download the same and that’s it.

From there you can do whatever you want with your photos and videos.
