What part of the population has developed antibodies against Covid 19? At the end of the confinement and before the second wave, it was less than 2% in Occitania against 4.5% in France and almost 11% in the Upper Rhine. These data come from the Epicov survey conducted in Montpellier, Bordeaux and Amiens with a representative sample of the population of 15,000 people : participants were randomly selected by INSEE to represent the entire French population. Volunteers received a kit to perform an autosampling at home with the deposit of a few drops of blood on absorbent paper from a few drops of blood on absorbent paper.
The second part of this important EpiCov survey has just begun. Of 30,000 new direct debitsthey will be sent to the Lapeyronie hospital within a few weeks to be registered, prepared and archived, before their analysis by the Inserm Unit for emerging viruses in Marseille. 10 people are mobilized full time on this project.
This data must make it possible to do so better understand the evolution of the epidemic to face it in the future.
