Dr Ahmed Al-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of the Public Health Authority, Assistant to the Minister of Health and Population, announced the provision of 3 million medical and care services to beneficiaries of the new health insurance system global through the Authority’s health facilities in Port Said Governorate since the start of implementation of the new system in the Governorate in July of last year until now.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky indicated that medical and therapeutic services have been provided to beneficiaries through 38 health facilities belonging to the Port Said authority, of which 31 health centers and family medicine units as well as 7 hospitals are equipped with the most modern medical equipment and include the most qualified medical and administrative staff, to provide the best and distinctive health services for the New Global Health insurance beneficiaries in accordance with the latest global standards and practices.

He added that the number of medical and therapeutic services provided to beneficiaries through hospitals (El Nasr Specialist Children, Women and Childbirth Specialist, Specialized Ophthalmology, Solidarity, Flowers, Al Hayat Port Fouad, Al Salam) in Port Said, during this period is amounted to 1,175,068 million services, including 525,002 thousand outpatient services, 618,233 thousand medical laboratory visits, as well as 31,851 thousand surgeries including advanced, qualified, rare, major, minor, medium and special operations

And Dr. Al-Sobky said the total number of visitors benefiting from comprehensive health insurance at the family medicine health centers and Port Said Authority units during the aforementioned period was over 1.2 million. while the number of medical and care services provided to them through them amounted to 1,824,932 million medical services, of which 942,096 thousand services from During family medicine clinics, 232,816 thousand visit services, 196,432 thousand visits to dental clinics, 58,548 thousand services in family planning clinics, 34,284 visits to sciatica clinics, as well as 68,636 thousand services in internal and pediatric clinics, as well as 292,120 thousand laboratory and radiology services.
