The ministry explained that training among physicians is continuing to apply updated treatment protocols to treat AIDS patients and continued: The training aims to develop physicians’ skills in clinical care for AIDS patients, as well as discuss updating of treatment protocols and guidelines for diagnosis, care and treatment.

The ministry has indicated that it is opening 13 new hospitals for the treatment of AIDS patients, in addition to the rest of the AIDS treatment centers located in 14 governorates, thus contributing to the coverage of AIDS care services in all governorates. of the Republic.

The Ministry of Health said that an electronic system will be created to link all up-to-date AIDS-related data and information, as well as patient history data and medication for the patient, in order to facilitate the follow-up of his state of health when moving to any governorate for treatment.

And he continued: 18 virus treatment clinics are currently being opened in the hospitals of the General Secretariat for Mental Health at the governorate level of the Republic, where medical and care services are provided in those clinics for infected with viruses. transmitted through the blood.

In a related context, the Egyptian Medicines Authority has confirmed its agreement for the granting of further concessions and incentives to companies that meet the needs of the Ministry of Health and the population with regard to preparations for the treatment of patients suffering from HIV / AIDS.

The Medicines Authority stated: It has been decided to grant companies that will register and the local production of HIV medicines “AIDS” the characteristic of “fast track”, which contributes to the speed of availability of these preparations and to meet the needs of the Ministry of Health and Population in addition to not counting the number of inquiry requests available to be submitted monthly for any Among the beneficiaries of this decision there are among the numbers that forward registration requests, giving these preparations an advantage of price due to what they will help convert imported products into homemade preparations, which positively affects the provision of the expenses of the state treatment programs.
