Health advisor to the president: the state has guaranteed vaccines for Corona, sufficient for 20% of the population

Dr Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, the president’s advisor for health and prevention affairs, said international institutions will guarantee countries around the world certain percentages of the Corona virus vaccine if produced, indicating that Egypt has secured doses of the vaccine sufficient for 20% of the population, explaining in a phone call to the ‘Happens in Egypt’ program, Presented by journalist Sherif Amer in MBC Egypt, Thursday evening, that the state is working on drawing up a map to identify priority groups to obtain the vaccine.

Tajuddin explained that priority groups include the medical sector and people with risk factors such as the elderly, people with chronic diseases and pregnant women, noting that no single vaccine or drug has been commercially announced to treat a particular Corona, until now.

On the one hand, Dr Muhammad Awad Tajuddin, the President of the Republic’s advisor for health affairs, confirmed that Pfizer’s new Corona vaccine is being taken in two doses, indicating that the virus will not disappear until 2021, and it is possible that the virus gives seasonal symptoms if it enters the winter season.
