The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 67 of the Coronaviruses have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical treatment and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovered from the virus to date to 102,268 cases.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, the Minister of Health and Population’s Advisor for Media Affairs and an official spokesperson for the ministry, said 368 new cases have been registered that have tested positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 11 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said the total number recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus to date on Thursday is 114,475 cases, including 102,268 cases that have been treated and 6,596 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all governorates of the Republic, to personally follow the situation regarding the emerging coronavirus, and to take all necessary preventive measures against viruses or infectious diseases, and the ministry has also assigned a range of media to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases. These include the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, as well as the “Egypt Health” application available on phones.
