Has it finally failed? AirPower is rumored to have been buried again by Apple

[ad_1]

AirPower may have recently been buried again. The Apple Wireless Charging Pad was declared a failure by Apple itself years ago. A few months ago well-known leaker Jon Prosser had fueled rumors about an AirPower resurrection, which he is now facing himself again.

AirPower may no longer be marketed by Apple: years ago, the same company announced via the media that it ultimately no longer wanted to bring AirPower to market. The technical difficulties in production were simply too great, Apfellike.com reported.

Just a few months ago, new rumors started circulating that work on AirPower would be restarted. These speculations originated from the better known leaker Jon Prosser, as we reported in a previous report.

On the Twitter short message service, he said Apple was still working on implementing AirPower. He later also shared photos of the alleged prototypes. But none of this should play a role anymore.

Apple is rumored to have given up on AirPower forever

Now the leaker wrote – again via Twitter – Apple had again moved away from AirPower.

According to its sources, Apple has removed all internal testing of the AirPower prototypes from the 2021 schedule and it is doubtful they will resume. So after the introduction of MagSafe on iPhone, AirPower may actually not be a problem anymore.

The charging pad should wirelessly charge iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch at the same time.
