Lil Wayne was found in possession of a gun and ammunition during a police search of a private jet in December 2019, according to court documents.
Since the 38-year-old was convicted of another firearm crime more than ten years ago, he now faces up to ten years in prison. Convicted offenders are prohibited from carrying arms to the United States.
According to the Miami Herald newspaper, Lil Wayne admitted that the gold-plated gun found in his luggage belongs to him. The gun was given to him as a Father’s Day gift.
In addition to the gun, the police also found drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy and heroin, in her luggage and over $ 25,000 in cash. The five-time Grammy Award winner is expected to appear in a Miami courthouse on December 11.
