Anyone who is a fan of Grey’s Anatomy knows how traumatic George O’Malley’s death was. After joining the army, the character suffers an accident and is hit by a bus while trying to save a woman.

Meredith still suffers a lot from Covid-19. At one meeting, Chief Webber makes sure she is in good hands, being assisted by Teddy and DeLuca. However, the whole team is concerned, as the occupation of Gray-Sloan beds is on the rise. Therefore, they do not know if they will have what is needed to take care of all cases of the pandemic.

In recent episodes, Meredith’s hallucinations led her to a beach where she met Derek, her late husband. Fans have begun to speculate on other characters who have already left the series. So the surprise was that this time, when Mer woke up on the beach, George O’Malley apologized!

One of the most exciting conversations in the episode was when George says that Meredith has great children. Dr. Gray replies that George has never had a chance to meet them, to which he replies: “I always come back to see if everything is okay.” Further proof that O’Malley (in love with Meredith for many years at the start of the series) has always been and always will be one of the most amazing interns ever to be at the former Seattle Grace Hospital.

Meredith believes her daughters would carry on after her death, just as she did after losing George, Lexie, Mark, Derek, and so many other important people in her life. Then, George talks about his mother. “It went on, but it was never the same,” he replies.

Then, Meredith hears Richard’s voice. Out of the dream, she starts shivering compulsively and Webber orders DeLuca to enroll her in the clinical trial. As if we didn’t cry enough, the final scene of episode 17×4 of Grey’s Anatomy reunites Meredith, George, Bailey and Richard on the beach, while saying “you have to find your people, as they will be with you at your worst times.”

As the pandemic progresses and Meredith’s condition worsens, the other doctors at the hospital try to find comfort where they can. One of the highlights of the episode was Jo and Jackson’s friendship, when Avery invites his resident colleague to his home while drinking beers and a negative test for covid-19.
