OR place VGC is moving forward with information that PlayStation 5 had the largest console version ever in the UK. The publication indicates that, according to its sources, the PlayStation 5 will have far exceeded the 250,000 units of the PlayStation 4 sold in just 24 hours of 2013.
The same sources say the physical version of the PlayStation 5 was more popular than the digital-only version. In fact, for every three units sold, two refer to the disc-supported version of the PlayStation 5.
OR VGC does not seem ready to move forward with the number of units sold on the PlayStation 5, but apparently they will have surpassed the 155,000 units of Xbox X Series and S Series sold outside the UK.
It remains to be hoped that both Sony and Microsoft will release official sales figures to find out which console was the most successful at launch.
