Google has found a new way to reduce memory consumption when using its Chrome browser on Windows 10 and has decided to go a different path than Microsoft.

Now Google engineers have found a new way to reduce RAM usage in the browser when running Windows 10 and they are working on it PartitionAlloc FastMalloc, a way to keep active memory usage below 10% for certain processes. This would also improve RAM management and caching to improve performance.
Maybe you still remember the SegmentHeap function which works very well with the new Edge. However, Microsoft has noticed this there had been a substantial 27% reduction in RAM usage in its Chrome-based browser.
