Bad news for millions of WhatsApp users. The company has updated the list of phones on which the application will no longer be available.
According to a press release posted on the company’s website, the WhatsApp application will no longer work on the following phones.
Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30, 2017
BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 after December 31, 2017
Windows Phone 8.0 and earlier devices after December 31, 2017
Nokia S40 after December 31, 2018
Android versions 2.3.7 and earlier after February 1, 2020
So, if you have a BlackBerry or a Windows Phone and want to use WhatsApp, you should switch to an Android or iOS. The WhatsApp application is used by around 1.3 billion users around the world.
