GoMo Health and the Center for BrainHealth® at the University of Texas at Dallas have joined forces to incorporate the Center’s research-supported strategies that improve brain health and build resilience, into the evidence-based patient engagement platform by GoMo Health.

This combined approach supports all aspects of patients’ psychological, physical and behavioral health and will initially be applied to the GoMo Health EarlyCare ™ digital therapy program for maternal and child health.

The collaboration represents the Center for BrainHealth’s first content licensing agreement, which aims to strengthen brain fitness and performance through cognitive strategies and healthy habits.

The GoMo Health EarlyCare ™ program feeds prenatal and postnatal mothers with information related to physical and psychological self-care, including tips for reducing anxiety, stress, distress and depression, as well as actionable activities and guidelines to increase resilience.

In addition, the telemedicine program offers parents and healthcare professionals information to facilitate the child’s growth from birth to age 8 with information related to monitoring physical, educational, linguistic and literacy milestones.

The frontal brain networks orchestrate and integrate all of our higher order thought processes, and three decades of research, development and testing have led to a science-based methodology that has been shown to strengthen them. “

“Better brain health improves decision making, problem solving, the quality of our social interactions, as well as our ability to absorb, adapt and recover from challenges and adversity. With this collaboration, we are thrilled that our BrainHealth content will be available for the benefit of GoMo Health customers. “

“We know that many pregnant women or women who have young children find themselves in stressful personal, family and social situations, which makes them extremely vulnerable to adverse events and negative outcomes, which is even more prevalent during this pandemic. We are thrilled to include as well. more of these stress-relieving strategies into our programs and making them available to the people who need them most, ”said Jessica Andersen RN, BSN, CPHQ, Director, Clinical Program Development, GoMo Health.

The joint program is fundamentally based on the principle that no two people are physically alike and the same DNA that constitutes an individual’s physical uniqueness also affects their behavioral, cognitive and emotional differences. These combined factors directly affect each person’s ability to be active in their health management.

“The combination of our science-based approach to precision health with science content from the Center for BrainHealth allows us to tailor usable and interactive resources for each individual. Together, we will be able to make a positive impact by bringing the right messages to the right people. at the right time, ”said Bob Gold, Chief Behavioral Technologist and founder of GoMo Health.

After the initial pilot project, the collaboration will expand to other patient groups, such as those undergoing cancer treatment.
