Genshin Impact stay on the path to success. As the Chinese title made its worldwide debut, it managed to attract attention and became the most successful Chinese release. Genshin Impact It is a game with a service model, so miHoYo will continue to support it in subsequent years via updates. The next one will debut before the end of the year, but there have been users who have leaked some of its content, so the company has decided to act hard.

Last update of Genshin Impact It is 1.1, arrived a few days ago. However, as we told you weeks ago, the developer will release version 1.2 before the end of 2020 and, like the current one, will bring several surprises and changes to the experience content.

In case you missed it: miHoYo recovered the development expenses from Genshin Impact in the first few days after launch.

Although there are still several weeks to go until the new content arrives, some users have already had the opportunity to play some of the content thanks to a closed Beta, which is used by users to provide feedback on the news to miHoYo to correct the defects.

Unfortunately, 2 players who participated in the trial period did not comply with the agreements with the users, especially the nondisclosure agreement, and shared leaks with fans who gave a taste of the new version. miHoYo did not take it well and announced that it has tracked down the people behind the leaks and announced that it will take legal action against the perpetrators of such violations.

Why did miHoYo behave this way?

When entering a trial period, especially closed betas, the company warns users that they cannot take screenshots or even talk about the content they were able to test. This is set out in the user agreements (non-disclosure agreement or NDA) that the player accepts before playing.

You may think that miHoYo’s actions are a little intense, but the truth is that it is within their rights, as users have violated the agreement they entered into with the company. Many may think leaks are harmless, but the opposite is true.

The developer claims that sharing test content affects how the final version is received. The most important impact is that the content still under development is revealed and gives players an inaccurate perception of the new additions.

Add to this the potential spoilers that could ruin the user experience, be it new regions or characters that the development team is working to properly reveal. For this reason, miHoYo said it will step up its efforts to prevent this type of leaks and asked fans who, although eager to learn more about the news, support him to reject the leaked information and not spread it.

“These actions cause totally unacceptable damage both to us and to all travelers. For each new updated version, we will plan revelations and promotional content for the new characters that everyone wants to see, ”commented miHoYo.

Version 1.2 of Genshin Impact is available from December 23rd.
