The original Game & Watch was launched in Japan in 1980 and was the first handheld console created by Nintendo. Now everyone can have a piece of history on their hands with something new in the series: Game and Watch: Super Mario Bros.
A Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. plays classic Super Mario Bros. games, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (released in Japan as Super Mario Bros. 2) and a special version of Ball… with a special Super twist. Mario! It now has more precise controls thanks to the directional button on the console.
A novelty that will appeal to both veterans and beginners is the Infinite Mario mode. Launching Super Mario Bros. or Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels by pressing the A button activates this mode, which allows players to experience the most difficult levels without having to worry about a possible GAME OVER. Players can exit Infinite Mario mode by pressing the PAUSE / SET button to open the menu and selecting RESET GAME.
Over time, the included digital clock can play 35 different animations, including some appearances of Mario’s friends and foes.
