Samsung affected by super leak: all the details on the next Galaxy S21 leaked

Already months before the official presentation, all the details on Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones have apparently leaked: among other things, there is talk of a camera with a zoom ten times without losses.

Max Weinbach, feared by Samsung, has done it again: at least two months before the official launch, the leaker reveals all the important details about Samsung’s upcoming flagship devices and ruins the surprise effect for Koreans. Also, information about the future model may adversely affect sales of the current model.

Leaker, that’s what people in the tech industry are called, who find out the technical details of the devices in advance and then publish them. Max Weinbach is not only one of the best known leakers, his information is also correct in most cases – he often reveals it directly on his Twitter account.

Weinbach has published details of the next generation of Samsung smartphones on the specialized AndroidPolice portal.

At first glance, the details of the three devices became apparent S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra only moderately changed from its predecessors:

The alleged specifications of the Galaxy S21 series

All devices rely on OLED display With 120 Hz Frame rate for a particularly smooth motion display. In the S21 Ultra, however, the display should be up to par 1600 nit shine brightly, the predecessor also achieved an impressive 1400 nits. For comparison: A typical notebook display usually shines with a brightness of around 300 nits. Even those of generous size Batteries With Capacity between 4000mAh and 5000mAh essentially remain the same: the display and that 5G-Modem should also have a good thirst for energy.

On the other hand, the processor is being updated; depending on the market and the device, Samsung should use the one that is not yet available Snapdragon 875 by Qualcomm or the company Exynos 2100 get in the way. The Samsung chip is said to be faster than Qualcomm’s best processor in this generation. While this isn’t certain, it’s true that for the first time in years, Europeans could get a better processor than the rest of the world.

Impressive 10x optical zoom for the S21 Ultra

At least in the two cheaper devices S21 and S21 Plus, the cameras should remain unchanged: one each Wide angle and ultra wide angle camerawith a resolution of 12 megapixels (MP) ea Telephoto lens with camera with 64 MP. The S21 Ultra, on the other hand, has a revamped 108MP sensor for the main camera. Another new feature is that there are now two telephoto lenses on board: one with triple optical zoom and one with an impressive one 10x optical zoom. A 10MP sensor is placed next to both lenses. For comparison: Apple’s flagship model iPhone 12 Pro Max allows for a maximum 2.5x optical zoom. Unlike a digital zoom, the optical zoom allows you to zoom in without loss of quality.

Weinbach also believes that the Ultra model is the one known only from the Note series S-Pen support will offer. Unlike the Galaxy Note, the pen should not be included at the time of purchase. Instead, Samsung is planning to sell cases that can hold the S-pen.

Overall, upcoming S21 devices appear to offer a more subtle hardware upgrade. After all, this should also be reflected in the price: according to rumors, Samsung would like to lower the prices of its devices in order to better keep up with the Chinese competition.

When exactly Samsung will introduce the S21 is currently unknown. According to some rumors, in the next year it will happen earlier than usual: we could expect an idea as early as mid-January, presumably different sources. Samsung usually showed its devices in the run-up to the Mobile World Congress in late February and in the run-up to the IFA in late August. Samsung was already severely interrupted by this timing last year.
