Former director of forensics at Mocoa, to answer for child rape

The nation’s attorney general’s office initiated disciplinary proceedings against the former director of Forensic Medicine in Mocoa (Putumayo), Félix Antonio Ávila López, for alleged sexual abuse of minors.

According to the events narrated in the disciplinary hearing, the man had contacted the minors through an alleged pimp. The minors had sex with him in exchange for money, according to the file.

The investigations were initiated by the complaint of the mother of one of the 14-year-old victims, which took place between February and March 2018.

“According to the investigation, he collected them at least four times for sex. Also forced them to get tattoos on the grounds that they were marked as his property“Said the deputy prosecutor, Aura Fajardo, who read the allegations.

In the midst of the disciplinary hearing, the 14-year-old girl’s statement was revealed, who said the doctor allegedly collected on a bridge to go to a motel in Mocoa.

According to the story, the man paid them 100,000 pesos after having sex and 50,000 for kisses on the mouth.

“He picked us up at Mocoa Bridge in a white van and drove us to a motel. In that place he told us to have sex with my friend. In other words, we both looked at what that man did to each of us, ”said the lawyer reading the child’s story.

According to the research, the white van in which the man had committed the crimes was an official vehicle assigned by the state.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, authorities found pornographic material of minors on the former official’s cell phone. That entity filed three disciplinary charges and requested investigations against him for using pornography.
