Rita Pereira and Gisela João were the first judges of the program “Canta para mim”, the new TVI “talent show”, presented by Cristina Ferreira, to be announced. It happened yesterday on ‘Cristina’s Day’ and the two of them celebrated, in the studio, with the animation that characterizes them.

The actress is an agent of Notable, an agency that also represents Cristina Ferreira, while Gisela João is no longer in the company.

It is recalled that Rita Pereira should have been the protagonist of the ‘Nanny’ series, alongside Paulo Pires, back in the days of Felipa Garnel as the station’s program director. The series, inspired by an international original and whose rights have already been acquired, ended up in the drawer under the direction of Cristina Ferreira. While Paulo Pires has joined the cast of a new soap opera of the season, Rita Pereira has been “stopped”, attending only a few numbers of ‘Somos Portugal’ on Sunday afternoon.

No soap operas scheduled – at least this has been announced – ‘Canta para Mim’ is the project that will return Rita Pereira’s antenna weekly.

Fado singer Gisela João is an external face to the TVI antenna. The invitation to join the jury was a surprise.
