A former BRAVO guy in aggro mode, a big-cheeked hippo-cheeked TV chef and a former “DSDS” star in a frightening frenzy: the latest masks are thrown at the grand finale of “The Masked Singer”. Only at the end does the glittery skeleton drop the covers: the winner is actually Sarah Lombardi.
Who will follow the two top hide and seek players Max Mutzke and Tom Beck to the Olympics of “The Masked Singer”? After weeks of unmasked anticipation and the good life of former entertainment sponsors who have been forgotten, the time has finally come: the grand finale of Germany’s hairiest prime-time show. Anubis and the alien on one side and the hippopotamus and the skeleton on the other side of the stage prepare for the next semifinal. A Bülent Ceylan grumbling at the advice desk and a Sonja Zietlow rejecting tears can barely keep their emotions in check. Soft plush guitars and microphones that suddenly develop a life of their own fly through the image. So it’s time to make the final decisions.

Unfortunately, Krawallo’s attitude and the airy hippo have to say goodbye. In other words: BRAVO Boy Veteran Ben Blümel (Anubis) and Chef Master Nelson Müller (Hippopotamus) are back in real life. In the all-important final duel, the “cake tube” alien and the far more professional skeleton face off. After a four-hour carnival break in major and minor, even Germany’s top cowboy rocker Alec Völkel (Alien) has to admit that there’s no weed against the mystical charm and vocal strength of the skeleton.
In a final dramatic act, the mask separates itself from the rest of the scary and frightening costume. And what comes to light: the radiant face of the winner Sarah Lombardi. Applause, applause! Alessio’s mother still has it. Then I indulge in a series of “Hui Buh” radio games. Unleash, close your eyes. I wish you a good night’s sleep.
