Samsung starts showing his cards for 2021. The first to be known are the cheapest and simplest phones from the South Korean manufacturer, the new Galaxy A12 and A02. These are the successors of the Galaxy A11 and Galaxy A01 presented in April of this year. And the truth is that although they are still quite humble terminals in terms of features, they have given a significant increase in battery incorporating up to 5,000 mAh with a load of 15 W..

These are the characteristics of the Galaxy A12 and the Galaxy A02s, two terminals that predictably will mark the minimum of what we will find in Samsung among its future phones. Unfortunately, although the battery has been improved, we will still start at 32 GB in the simpler model. Here we leave you with the rest of the specs.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02 share many of their features, the main difference being the camera. They both have a 6.5 inch TFT panel with HD + resolution and the “Infinity-V” panel, in relation to the water drop-shaped “notch” located in the upper central area and where the front camera is hidden.

Inside they have an octa-core processor, with 2.3 and 1.8 GHz cores. As usual, Samsung does not specify which specific model it is, but according to GSMArena, it would be a Helio P35 on the Galaxy A12 and a Snapdragon 450 on the Galaxy A02s.

As for RAM, the Galaxy A12 will come in different versions, from 3GB to 6GB. We will also have three storage options: 32, 64 and 128 GB, expandable via microSD up to 1 TB. We would have liked the 2021 input range to start at 64GB, but we understand that it’s a cost-saving component. For security, the fingerprint reader is placed on the side.

In the Galaxy A02s model we will have a single version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, also expandable via microSD card.

Where there has been a big leap is in the drums. The Galaxy A12 comes with 5,000 mAh and 15W of charge. The Galaxy A02s model also incorporates these 5,000 mAh with the same “fast” charge. An even more significant change from its previous generation that started with 3,000mAh.

For the photo section, the Galaxy A12 has an extension 48 megapixel main sensor, accompanied by a 13 MP wide-angle and two extra cameras for macro and bokeh. They’re placed in a small box in the top left corner and also represent a leap from the 13MP camera on the Galaxy A11. This is exactly where the Galaxy A02s falls, which incorporates a 13MP main sensor along with two 2-megapixel cameras. This time, placed upright.
