FC Basel 1893 club held its 127th ordinary general meeting in writing due to the crown pandemic. Last weekend the votes and ballot papers of the approximately 2,500 club members who had sent their documents to the FCB were counted.
On Monday evening, the president of the previous club, Bernhard Burgener, announced the first results: the boards of the previous club (Reto Baumgartner, Dominik Donzé and Benno Kaiser) will be re-elected. No other person running for election has achieved the maximum necessary for election to the council. Reto Baumgartner will be chairman and delegate of the FCB board of directors.
Two thirds were not reached for a change in the statutes. This means that the previous statutes continue to apply. In turn, the members missed Bernhard Burgener and CEO Roland Heri in the vote of no confidence: both are not recommended for re-election to the Board of Directors.
The FCB will present detailed data on Tuesday.
