Etoro's cryptography analyst addresses the ripple and its digital heritage and calls XRP a "high risk" currency

Ripple and in particular its XRP digital asset have been rather controversial over time.

Now, senior analyst Etoro Mati Greenspan offers his views on Ripple and XRP.

XRP, a high risk currency?

Greenspan told AMBCrypto that he considers Ripple's digital assets to be a high risk currency due to the volatility of the emerging market.

As you all know, this year the cryptography market was welcomed by a bearish trend that did not give up and recently Bitcoin recorded its biggest fall since 2017.

Beyond that, Greenspan said that the success of XRP is certainly linked to Ripple's success, particularly with regard to the great ways in which it is transforming the world of cross-border payments.

"There was a widespread report from one of Ripple's executives who said that there was only 25% chance of long-term success for this project, so we have to take this into account," said Greenspan.

He continued and explained "So yes, if it ends up becoming the standard for global payments, then certainly [XRP] it's about to increase in value, even in a very short space of time. However, when you're thinking about an overall portfolio, you do not want to risk your equity too much into something that only has 25% chance of getting to know it. "

Pending the classification of the SEC

Ripple currently hopes that its digital heritage can escape SEC's classification of a security.

On the other hand, it is true that XRP's success depends on Ripple's many management efforts, but it could change very soon, especially after Omni and Coil's announcement that they will make both XRP payments easier.

Both of these companies have strong links with Ripple Labs, but they are separate and independent entities.

This shows that XRP also depends on the market ecosystem rather than on a single company.
