Italy (2-0 in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Belgium (4-2 against Denmark) secured group victory in the Nations League.

League A – Group 1: Italy wins the mandatory victory

Even before the final matchday it was clear that Italy could secure a ticket to the final tournament with a three-point away match against Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Azzurri managed to do it without major problems. Andrea Belotti on the counterattack in the 22nd minute, Domenico Berardi in the 68th minute with a nice volley for the well-deserved 2-0 final.

But then Romelu Lukaku once again made a difference. First he was lucky enough to regain the lead (57th), then he went better with his head in his own unique way (69th). The huge flop of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois just before the end was no longer significant.

England beat the already relegated Icelanders by winning 4-0 at home with no problems. Declan Rice and Mason Mount immediately set the course for victory with a double strike (20 ° / 24 °). Phil Foden scored twice in the last 10 minutes.

League B: Wales rise, rival of Swiss emerging markets

Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Swiss opponents of the European Championship, Wales, made the leap to the foreground.
