Hollywood star nominated for an Oscar for her work in the film Juno and previously known as Ellen Page announced this Tuesday that she was transgender. In a post on Twitter and Instagram, Elliot Page explains that he wants to stop being known as Ellen Page – name with which she was registered at birth.
“I want to share who I am with you trans, my pronouns are he / they and my name is Elliot ”, began writing Page, age 33. “You can’t begin to express how amazing it is to feel that I love myself enough to pursue my true self,” admits the actor. “I feel lucky to write this. For being here. For getting to this point in my life.”
Like Ellen Page, the Canadian actor and producer has been known in several critically acclaimed films and series ever since Juno, An origem, X-Men and, more recently, Umbrella Academy.
