For years, the wife of “GZSZ” star Eric Stehfest (31) knew nothing about this attack. As he stated in an interview with broadcaster RTL, he asked the State Criminal Police Office to go to the station in autumn 2018 to identify a victim of abuse. “I thought it was someone completely different,” says Edith Stehfest.
“I recognized myself in the video”
But when the police showed her the corresponding video, she fell into a state of shock. Why: the victim was herself! “I recognized myself immediately in the video, I knew from my hairstyle that I must have been 17”.
Edith Stehfest was knocked out and abused by a man. She didn’t notice anything – and she still can’t remember it today. The only proof: a video of about 20 minutes that the executioner filmed and saved it on a USB stick.
The offender was discovered through a mixed bag
As the newspaper “Bild” writes, the man’s face was only visible for a short time. However, Stehfest recognized him by his nose: “The man was Max”. Max H. was once his dealer and was 28 at the time of the crime.
Due to an error, H. was finally discovered. His USB stick came into the possession of a nurse who then informed the police. Not only was Stehfest’s abuse video stored on the stick, but other rape and child pornography scenes as well.
“Seeing the offender threw me off course”
On Wednesday, Max H. finally had to answer in court for “abuse of incapable people”. “He was aware that he could not defend himself,” the prosecutor said.
His victim at the time, Edith Stehfest, testified against him behind closed doors. Her husband Eric was by her side during the trial. “It was incredibly emotional,” he later said. “Actually, sitting there and seeing the culprit threw me off course. Eric has given me a lot of strength today. “
He does not regret speaking to the media on this subject. “After I found out about the crime, I first wanted the public not to know about it,” said the 25-year-old. But then she realized it was important to give other affected women a sign that they would be heard and that the writers weren’t going to get away with it.
Eric Stehfest himself said: “The last few years have been a tough test for us. We were afraid of relapsing again. But we decided for each other, we stayed clean. We hope that we as a family will find a degree after the trial. ”Edith and Eric Stehfest were both addicted to crystal meth for years.
Max H. took drugs before the trial
The accused himself remained silent in court over the allegations. During the negotiation, his eyes were closed again and again, writes the “Bild”.
