According to the CNN report, scientists from the Japan National Astronomical Observatory have released a new map of the Milky Way.

The new map showed that the distance from the black hole at the center of the galaxy to the Earth is 25,800 light years.
The International Astronomical Union accepted this distance as 27,700 light years in 1985.
According to the map, the Solar System travels 227 kilometers per second as it orbits the galactic center. The rotation speed of the solar system was adopted as 220 kilometers per second.
It was claimed that the new map was prepared as part of 15 years of observing the Japanese radio astronomy project VERA.
Located in the center of the Milky Way, the mass of the black hole Sagittarius A * is said to be 4.2 million times that of the Sun.
