Duel on Colombian television, friends and colleagues greet actor Alfonso Ortiz

Considered by the new actors as one of the great masters of the tables and television of the country. So are the significant messages for actor Alfonso Ortiz.

Actor Santiago Alarcón posted on his Twitter account that after the teacher’s death, he remembers him when he entered acting school. In his message he dismissed him saying: “Have a good trip, dear Poncho”.

For her part, actress Andrea Guzmán made no secret of her sadness when she learned of the 71-year-old actor’s death. Guzmán recalled his talent and generosity and, in turn, embraced him to the actor’s family.

Patricia Castañeda, Colombian actress, also pointed out that Alfonso Ortiz left laughter and teachings for the television industry, in addition, she highlighted it for her company to several generations of acting in the country.

For journalist, manager and publicist Fernán Martínez, actor Alfonso Ortiz was one of the best acting teachers in the country. In his message he regretted the loss to the performing arts.

The actor’s death was confirmed by the Colombian Actors Association via Twitter, which regretted the departure of Ortiz, who provided his talent for more than forty years.

“Dear Alfonso, thank you for your teachings, your joy, your generosity and professionalism. Remain in the heart and memory of your colleagues and of an entire country ”, published the actress Nórida Rodríguez, who for years had the opportunity to meet Alfonso Ortiz.

Alfonso Ortiz, made his debut on stage with theater companies in the seventies, at a time when the acting commitment was linked to political activity: He participated in productions of the La Candelaria Theater, of the Free Theater of Bogotá and worked as an acting teacher for the Higher Academy of Bogotá.

In the history of Colombian cinema, he is remembered for his extraordinary participation in the film “La siempreviva”, also for his role in the adaptation of the novel by Santiago Gamboa “Losing is a question of method”, directed by his friend Sergio Cabrera and in films such as “Edipo alcalde”, “El coup de Estadio” and “La vorágine”, among others.
