Despite beauty it doesn’t have to be superficial, everyone looks and watches. Human skin can be different, both in color, softness, but also in its appearance. It is decorated with hair, markings, but sometimes warts, chicken eyes and various growths as well.
In addition to beauty, however, skin health is extremely important, and that’s it winter period is an ideal time to face prolonged rest for health or beauty. We can simply say that all problems, the solution of which requires more interventions and recovery times, should be completed in winter, for various reasons: aesthetic, practical and health.
So, if your eye is bothered by your eye and does not allow you to walk comfortably, if you inconspicuously cover the wart on your hand during conversations and work with people, read the following interview with the head of the dermatology clinic- laser Adriana Tomeková.
Dermatological procedures are basically quick procedures and the patient can easily set aside an hour or two for them. So why is it better to fix them in the winter and not during the year?
We carry out the necessary procedures, of course, all year round, especially if they have to endanger the patient’s health. The winter season is ideal for planned procedures that are not urgent. The treated areas are protected from clothing from possible pollution, exposure to UVA and UVB radiation, we do not expose them to excessive residence in water and, in the end, we do not attract the attention of what surrounds us.
Simply in winter, the constraints associated with convalescence do not bother us as in summer. It is during this period that it is ideal to undergo procedures such as checking, diagnosing and removing marks, growths, warts, scars, pigmentation, pigment spots, dilated coils or, for example, cosmetic procedures such as laser hair removal, stretch mark removal , cellulite or wrinkles.
We have already dealt with the signs, their removal and monitoring together. However, our body is also decorated with scars, various growths, warts, chicken eyes … can you define for us what they are and how they are created?
The most common unwanted units that patients come to the clinic want to remove are scars, skin growths, warts, and chicken eyes. Each of the above problems has its origins and its treatment.

Scars they are often an unpleasant reminder of painful wounds, burns, or surgery. Even in adulthood, they can remind us of smallpox or severe acne of puberty. Mostly, patients want to get rid of them forever. We know different types of scars. They can be linear or planar, plastic: convex, recessed, soft or, conversely, very strong, the so-called keloids. In all cases, it is important to consult a doctor during treatment and removal. Hypertrophic (elevated) scars are caused by excessive formation of new skin. They are also called hyperactive. They are usually red, coarse and hard. They often itch or are painful. They tend to protrude above the level of the surrounding skin but do not extend beyond the original lesion area. They usually form within two weeks after the injury.
Keloids (which protrude across wound lines) are coarse, round, forming irregular clusters of scar tissue that spread across the boundaries of the original wound. They are often red or darker than the surrounding skin. They can also occur later after an injury and get worse during pregnancy. They form at any age, but tend to develop faster in young people and people with darker skin. The tendency to create them is hereditary. Atrophic (covered) scars occur when the wound does not heal properly, creating an insufficient amount of new connective tissue. The resulting scar is below the level of the surrounding skin, i.e. acne or smallpox scars. The most modern and very effective method of their removal is a laser. The treatment is always combined, different types of lasers are used. The laser with a wavelength of 1540 nm is ideal for treating scars in a very gentle way. We eliminate the pain by adding ice packs and the treatment lasts a few seconds.
Depending on the size and type of scar, 6-10 treatments are recommended at monthly intervals. The scar smoothes, retracts and fades.

Skin growths are pedunculated, viral fibroids, are small growths on the skin, mainly on a thin stalk. After acne, they are the most common skin diseases. It bothers men and women of all ages. They are most often found in the eyelids, neck, armpits, under the breasts or groin. They may or may not contain melanin pigment. They are usually numerous, but they can occur on their own, when they usually grow larger. These growths are benign in nature but can interfere with normal daily activities. They are found in places where a person sweats more and where a substance is rubbed, which can irritate the fibroids. Therefore, it is advisable to remove them.
They arise on the basis of genetic assumptions and spontaneously grow on the body. The most modern and widely used method for their removal is the laser. With it, the dermatologist will remove the growths in minutes, without pain, scalpel or blood. Of course, only those that are suitable for removal by laser or other non-invasive technology. Other minimally invasive procedures to remove skin growths include electrocautery or cryotherapy. The appropriate procedure will be determined by the doctor by diagnosis.
Kurie oko a nipple. While many people think it is the same, normal skin growth is not. The differences between them and the other growths mentioned above are obvious and fundamental. Wart (verrucae) is a viral disease caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV virus). It causes a benign (benign) proliferation in the skin epithelium. The result is an excessively horny skin deposit. They also occur due to the transmission of microorganisms to less congested sites. In these places, thicker skin is more likely to form, to which the virus is secondarily transmitted. Conversely, chicken eye (clavus) is caused mechanically.
Due to long-term and constant pressure on a certain point of the skin (for example, due to the pressure of bad shoes on the big toe), its local keratinization occurs. This is where the callus forms next. With continuous pressure, it pierces deeper and a clavus is formed. It partially protrudes above the skin level. For the most part, it interferes with suede, which suppresses nerves and causes local pain. This means that the curry eye is larger than what we actually see with the naked eye on the surface.
When should a patient use commonly available drugstore things to combat them and when should they see a doctor? Can warts and chicken eyes become dangerous?
Correct and professional diagnostics is essential. Therefore, we should visit the doctor in the first step and follow his recommendations. To correctly determine whether it is a wart or a hen’s eye, several aspects need to be evaluated. The appearance of the unit itself plays the most important role, hence its size, shape, texture, position and place of preference. In such cases, self-examination or home “interventions” in the form of stabbing the unit with various objects or cutting them with manicure scissors are not appropriate!

On the Internet you will find many tips and tricks on how to remove warts or chicken eyes. Treatment is basically divided into the home, which is often lengthy and usually ineffective. So it is a drug treatment, which is also long-term, but preparations designed to remove these skin growths are more effective.
We can treat chicken eye at home using patches, solutions or ointments containing salicylic acid. With its action, the curry eye softens. After three to four days, the area can be gently smoothed, preferably after a short, warm foot bath. There are also combination preparations on the market in which lactic acid is added to salicylic acid. The combination of salicylic acid, lactic acid, castor oil, swallow extract and thuja extract also has antiviral effects and can be used on both chicken eye and wart. Higher concentrations of urea (urea) have effects similar to those of salicylic acid.
Trichloroacetic acid is also effective, which also has antiviral activity. It can therefore also be used on smaller nipples. Therapy lasts less than with salicylic acid. During the treatment, it is recommended to protect the surrounding healthy skin with a protective ointment (eg white petroleum jelly). In sensitive areas, self-medication can cause scarring, so always consult an expert in such cases. And I repeat, before starting any treatment, I recommend that you first do an examination with a dermatologist, who will determine the diagnosis and establish the optimal course of treatment.
What forms of removal are used most often in these procedures?
Frostbite therapy is proven. When visiting a dermatologist, cryotherapy – liquid nitrogen is used, and local drug treatment is also recommended. Surgical removal is still a common solution, but there is a risk of scarring, which isn’t always necessary.
Is additional treatment needed after the procedures?
Mostly not.
