After months of waiting, many Latin Disney fans can breathe easily. And is that from Tuesday, November 17, the Disney Plus “Streaming” platform has started to be available in 18 countries of Latin America, including Colombia.
The product arrives in the country to compete directly with other companies with similar subscription services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV + and HBO.

Since its premiere in the US and Canada in November 2019, Disney Plus has reached 73 million subscribers worldwide, adding to the millions it had when it launched in select European countries on March 24. With its most recent expansion in Latin America, it hopes to get several million more.

In the case of Colombia the monthly subscription price is 23,900 pesos, while the annual one is 239,900. In both plans the user has a seven day trial “window” in which they can cancel the purchase.
How to register?
1. Go to the Disney Plus Official Website.
2. Select the plan of your choice by clicking “Try it for free”. Note that this button refers to the trial period (seven days) in which you will not be charged for the account you register with. The charge, therefore, it will start working from the eighth day, unless you cancel your subscription first.
3. You will then need to complete your email, accept the terms and conditions and choose a password.
4. Finally, you have to complete your payment details which, until now, in Colombia and Argentina you can only do with a VISA, Mastercard or American Express credit or debit card. It is expected that in these two countries the PayPal option will be enabled in the following weeks.
Once purchased, you can use Disney Plus on up to four devices at the same time and download in up to ten.
Compatible devices
Disney Plus can be used on desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, smart TVs, and even video game consoles.
On computers, it can be accessed on operating systems from Windows 10 and MacOs 10.10 for Chrome 75+ browser, Windows 10 and later for Microsoft Edge, Windows 7 and MacOS 10.9 or later for Firefox 68+, Windows 8.1 or later for Internet Explorer 11, and finally MacOS 10.12 (Sierra) or later for Safari 11+.

For both Windows and MacOS all you have to do is log into your account on the same page you used to sign up.
In the case of mobile phones, the application to view the content can be downloaded on Android devices with operating system 5.0 or later.
The same “app” can be downloaded on iPhone, iPod Touch and Apple tablets with iOS 11.0 or later systems.
Likewise, the ‘Smart Tv’ compatible to use Disney Plus are LG from 2016 onwards, Samsung with Tizen from 2016 onwards, Sharp AQUOS series and Sony Bravia series.
It can also be used in other systems that have Airplay, Airplay2, Android TV or Roku TV, which are accessories built into televisions integrated with smartphones and tablets.
Note that not all “Smart TVs” have access to Disney Plus pre-installed, so if you don’t have it, you need to download it from your app store.
