The streaming service Disney + come to Latin America November 17. In this way, it joins a market that in Colombia has at least eight different platforms, some depending on the cable tv and internet operator.
The best known are Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, although there are others like it Mubi gaining popularity among independent film fans. And also Latin retina, which works for free, offers Latin American movies, and is supported by Ministry of Culture of Colombia.

This streaming explosion has led some to refrain from contracting TV services (DTT has access to national channels) and I prefer to subscribe to the different platforms. In this sense, how much should a person pay if they want to have access to the most popular streaming services?
Netflix’s premium service (it allows four simultaneous screens and has 4K) costs 38,900 pesos per month. For Amazon Prime Video are 14,900 pesos. Y Disney +, 23,900,000 pesos per month.
To have the ‘combo’ Netflix-Prime-Disney you have to pay 77,700 pesos per month.
And also HBO Go, which includes some of the best series in history such as “Los Soprano ‘,’ The Wire ‘and’ Six Feet Under ‘ and costs 32,900 per month. With this “addition” they would be 110,600 pesos every month.
To that figure you could add the monthly cost of Spotify Premium, despite being music: 14,900 pesos. So the combo Netflix-Prime-Disney-HBO Go-Spotify would cost 125,500 pesos per month.
And if you want to add Mubi, which is 24,900 per month, would be 150,400 pesos.
Now you could have a little ‘savings’ by paying an annual fee instead of a monthly one: 299,900 pesos for HBO Go, 239,900 for Disney + Y 178,800 for Mubi.
Of course, these combinations are arbitrary and you may get cheaper monthly prices with others. Judge and do your math.
