Codemasters today announced the global release of DIRT 5 on PlayStation 5. Developed by Codemasters in Cheshire, the PS5 version offers thrilling racing in 4K at 120 fps and, thanks to the new benefits of the DualSense ™ controller, an improved feeling of immersion.

DIRT 5 is a next-generation racing experience from the very first minute on PlayStation 5. With 120Hz mode, DIRT 5 delivers the smoothest gaming experience in the series, including a more intense connection to the track. The triggers of the new DualSense controller allow the player to run on the slopes with his sense of touch and offer, supported by an increased frame rate, an immersive emotion that is second to none. Due to the much faster loading times, players are less slowed down in their gaming experience and can now spend more time with the essence of the game: pure action.
DIRT 5 is pure adrenaline on 70 courses, 10 locations and 13 vehicle classes – to prove themselves in the DIRT series, players must keep a check on classic rally cars, rock bouncers, buggies and other speedsters in different conditions. The career is set to music by various well-known talents and icons, such as Troy Baker and Nolan North, James Pumphrey and Nolan Sykes, as well as other cameos from the gaming and motorsport scene.
In the most ambitious DIRT series to date, players can create, share and discover their own courses in the arena in playground mode. There are three types of events to choose from: Gate Crasher, Smash Attapick, and Gymkhana. Playgrounds can also be shared online, including their global leaderboards, where players can compete. With a variety of different game modes including career, arcade, stopwatch and multiplayer, DIRT 5 is a single adrenaline rush, from start to finish. Plus, the new four-player split screen mode offers exciting moments together in front of the screen in offline co-op and other competitive modes.

DIRT 5 is now available in stores for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, the Xbox One family of devices, as well as Xbox Series S | X and PC. The version for Google Stadia will be released in the spring of 2021. DIRT 5 supports Xbox Smart Delivery and support for the free PlayStation update *.
