Uncontrolled diabetes causes damage to blood vessels, which can manifest itself in impaired vision, damage to kidney and nerve function, or blood flow to the limbs, heart, and brain. As Babjak adds, typical manifestations of diabetes are excessive thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, fatigue and weakness. “In such cases, a doctor should be sought as soon as possible,” he warns, saying patients with cardiovascular disease should also be alert. blood sugar levels, “he points out.

According to her, however, even with an increase in blood sugar, the onset of the disease can be reduced or delayed. “The development of type 2 diabetes can be prevented by cultivating a healthy lifestyle, including a healthy diet, regular exercise and maintaining an optimal body weight,” he advises, pointing out that it is a myth in the past that a diabetic needs a special diet for diabetics. It is true for both diabetics and healthy people that we should eat a diet rich in fiber and lots of vegetables, on the contrary, fruit should be consumed in limited quantities and few foods rich in fat, salt and carbohydrates should be consumed. “, he concludes.
