Delivery bottleneck prevents flu vaccinations – Passau

The high demand makes vaccines in short supply: nationally, over 20 million doses have already been injected. The vaccine is also in short supply in Passau.

“The day our health minister said there was no end to the vaccination, we ran out of vaccine,” says Dr. Johann Paulik, specialist in general medicine. Since then he has not been able to vaccinate against the flu in his practice in Tiefenbach (district of Passau). Not only is there a lack of vaccine in his practice: doctors and pharmacies throughout the district have no vaccination doses against the flu virus.
