The flaw of some Apple iPhone 12 mini smartphones

According to reports from early buyers of Apple’s iPhone 12 mini smartphone, a flaw has already been discovered in this phone. Apple in the US will likely fix this flaw.

Some early buyers of the iPhone 12 mini are experiencing a flaw on their new smartphone. Users on MacRumors, Apple’s support forums in the US and Reddit report that the iPhone 12 mini’s touchscreen is faulty and partially unresponsive to the lock screen.

Not only can they not launch the camera or flashlight, but also unlock the screen with their finger. This is not desirable from a smartphone, especially from an Apple phone.

Some users suspect that the problem with the screen could be conducting or grounding. This behavior appears to be resolved when the phone is connected to the charger or used without a case.

Engadget reached out to Apple in the US to comment on this screen flaw. It’s unclear how widespread this screen issue is, but it’s common enough that it’s not considered an isolated incident.

Either way, this isn’t the brightest start for a smartphone like the iPhone 12 mini, especially as some people consider this device to be the most special smartphone in Apple’s range in the US for this year.

What do you think of this defect? Do you think this lock screen receptivity flaw is either software (which can be fixed with a software update) or hardware (which requires physical repair)? Still planning to buy Apple’s new iPhone 12 mini smartphone from the US?
