Bohemia Interactive is proud to announce that DayZ Update 1.10 has arrived on all platforms. There are tons of substantial changes to this update, including the long-awaited return of the M3S truck. In addition to a mobile variant, there are also new static variants for partial spawning. In addition, all vehicles now offer increased engine life in the event of a collision with the environment, as well as the ability to repair the vehicle frame with epoxy putty and the engine itself with a socket wrench (unless the engine is accidentally ruined). In addition, a new function has been added for damage to players when jumping out of a car.
There are new accommodations! They come in three versions (stick, tarpaulin, leather) and offer basic storage capacity and rain protection. Speaking of the elements, cold mornings and warm afternoons are more realistic now, as are local wind speeds and elevations. In addition, players can temporarily contain the heat of the fireplaces. The user interface now contains information on the thermal insulation properties of a single garment and the thermal insulation or wicking limits for all garments that have been rebalanced, giving players a variety of choices for rain or cold protection.
There are also leg fractures again, as well as improvised fixings (splints). Legs can be broken in all sorts of situations, including fighting, getting into a bear trap, falling or jumping from a great height, and even jumping out of a car. Remember that if you are unable to repair a fracture with a splint, you will experience limited mobility and frequent impact damage that can knock you out. Displays of current shock values (i.e. how close you are to unconsciousness) have been added, as well as displays of when actual shock injury occurred. The applied cues are now also visible on the injured player.
Rounding out the update with the return of the flare gun, which can illuminate the night sky in four different colors, item longevity has been dramatically reduced and locked ports remain locked upon server reboot while the rest of the ports are randomized. Additionally, localization optimizations have been made, including the introduction of localization in Brazilian Portuguese.
