Darcy Quinn’s “revenge”: she compared Vanessa de la Torre to Chimoltrufia

This Tuesday Darcy Quinn and Vanessa de la Torre were the protagonists of a moment of confusion that occurred amidst laughter, during the broadcast of the radio program “6 AM Hoy por hoy”.

In a conversation in which it was announced that Vanessa de la Torre would be interviewing the Chilindrina, Gustavo Gómez, director of the news program, made a comment on Marie Antoinette of the Snows, the remembered Mexican actress, who played the memorable character of Don Ramón’s daughter in the comedy show El Chavo of 8.

“As you would say, neither Marie Antoinette nor Darcy reflect age”, was Gómez’s comment to which Vanessa de la Torre replied:

Darcy is a little younger, not that much, well, but let’s say …

At that moment, reporter Darcy Quinn giggled and said:

If you allow my revenge, it will be an interview with Chilindrina and Chimoltrufia.

The comment was greeted with laughter by all “6 AM Hoy por hoy” reporters, including Vanessa de la Torre.

The laughter continued and the former Caracol News presenter added: “I thought Dona Florinda would tell me or something”, to which the other members of the news table responded, implying that with that way of revenge it was better to leave Darcy Quinn alone.

This should be clarified Chimoltrufia is a character created by Roberto Gómez Bolaños, interpreter of The child in the homonymous program. Florinda Meza, Bolaños’s wife, was in charge of playing the humorous character.

According to the story, the real name of the character was María Expropiación Petronila Lascuráin y Torquemada de Botija, but everyone knew her as the Chimoltrufia, who was also the companion of Gordon Botija, a thief he had as an accomplice Chómpiras.

In the middle of this year, the journalist of “6 AM Hoy por Hoy” was at the center of controversy on social networks, due to a comment he made in the middle of a discussion about the people involved in the Dololed case, the popular drug that is on the verge of disappearing due to the alleged contamination with diclofenac it causes and which was confirmed by authorities earlier this year.

The case came to light after an investigation by the Industrial University of Santander confirmed the presence of diclofenac in the alleged natural product. This fact triggered the alarms of the health authorities.

The reporter said:

… Why does a university get involved in such an investigation, when we say it’s not its job, its main job is to investigate, educate and not do research.

A few minutes later, the reporter acknowledged her mistake and made it clear that she did not want to commentBut that didn’t stop Twitter users from quickly attacking the communicator.

The comments did not stop and she replied again:

I admitted my mistake and apologized … but don’t they care? Insult and kill people … well I’m sorry, but I will not contribute to hate on the networks …
