The owner of an abandoned 1300 Dacia for 12 years was very surprised. He received a fine in the mail for driving his car on public roads without a license plate, writes Digi24.ro.

The man is from Satu Mare and among the cars owned by his company is a Dacia 1310 from 1992, which he has not used for 12 years. That doesn’t seem to have stopped the National Road Company from fining him for failing to pay the toll.

“I felt like laughing and I thought, at one point, that it was good that the radar didn’t catch it at 130 kilometers per hour, that it would be the top of the peaks,” said the car owner Digi24.

“Then it just came to our attention. It’s all rusty, there’s nothing good,” said one of the man’s relatives.

The owner of the Dacia has not yet received proof of registration from the National Road Company, most likely because he has changed his business address in the meantime. In Finance, however, the proof has come and the owner is in debt.

The reaction of the Road Company

“Maybe when he transcribed the number, for having transcribed it wrongly, it is possible that, I believe, I do not see how else. The cameras can only record what is on the road,” said the director of the Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges in Cluj , Eugen Cecan.
