Taking everyone by surprise, CD Projekt Red announced it on Twitter Cyberpunk 2077 has been postponed again and will be released on December 10, 21 days after the initial release date (the previous date was November 19).

The game has undergone two postponements since April and, recently, it was confirmed by the developer that there would be no third parties (the old dates were April 12, September 17, and the latest was November 19). However, the team apologized and reported that while 21 days seems like a time when there isn’t much to do, it’s something that will go a long way in perfecting the experience. Watch the tweet:

CD Projekt Red stated that testing and validating nine different versions of the game is a very big challenge and that although the game has moved to Gold (i.e. it is complete), there are still many improvements to be made, bugs to be fixed and things to perfect. . Therefore, the publisher preferred to postpone and make sure the quality is maintained rather than risk releasing a release patch that doesn’t fix all the technical issues.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will arrive in 2021, but both consoles will be able to run the game thanks to backward compatibility at launch.
