Cyberpunk 2077: Bad news: it doesn’t arrive in time

[ad_1]

It all looked so good. Until a few days ago it was rumored that Cyberpunk 2077 was in the pipeline and will be released on November 19th. But now there is another change.

CD Projekt RED just commented on Twitter and announced that the date is rolling back. After all, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released later this year. So maybe. The postponement foresees 21 days, the new date is now 10 December 2020.

CD Projekt RED apologizes in the tweet for the renewed postponement and adds the reason. The background now is that due to the versions for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation, as well as Google Stadia and next-gen consoles, a total of nine different builds have to be prepared and tested, all in the era of home office & Co. These 21 additional days should now be ensured that all is well.

CD Projekt RED also explains the background of the notification of the gold status a few days ago. Gold status only means that the game is finished and has passed certifications, but not that it is not yet in the works. Further improvements were worked out over time for a Day 0 patch, but the period was underestimated.

Let’s see it positively: in December not many hits will come out and we will have more time to deal with Black Ops, Valhalla & Co. until we launch into Night City.
