The announcement did not specify the amount of damages.
However, 43 hours ago, an ETH transaction took place, seeing 19.390 ETHs coming out of Cryptopia's tagged wallet towards an unknown address. The value of ETH transferred is just over $ 2.5 million.

The first exchange hacked in 2019
Cryptopia becomes the first exchange of cryptocurrencies to be breached in the new 2019.
