From Bitcoin against gold to new ways to use Tron and Stellar, here are some of the stories that break in the world of Crypto.
Bitcoin
The twins in the US Gemini encrypted exchange are supporting their bullish prospects on Bitcoin despite the bear market.
In a question about anything on Reddit, the encrypted magnate Tyler Winklevoss, who runs Gemini with his twin brother Cameron, said he believes Bitcoin is well on its way to overcoming the gold market cap of over 7 trillion dollars.
"Our thesis on the positive side of Bitcoin remains unchanged We believe that Bitcoin is better than gold and gold If we are right, over time the market capitalization of Bitcoin will exceed $ 7 trillion dollars market capitalization. "
If Bitcoin's capitalization exceeds gold, a BTC would be worth around $ 333,333, once the total Bitcoin supply of 21 million is in circulation.
The computer scientist and cryptographer Nick Szabo recently explained why he is on the same page.
"There will be some situations where a central bank can not trust a central bank or a foreign government with its bonds, for example." One solution that has been developed is to have the Swiss government in your hands – it's not a minimized trust solution The Swiss government itself is subject to political pressure and therefore a more minimal solution on trust is the cryptocurrency.
The other problem with gold reserves is that they are physically vulnerable. When the Nazis conquered countries in Europe, the first place they went was the gold reserve of a central bank. "
Ripple
Ripple's xRapid partner in the Philippines has just been sold for $ 72 million.
According to TechCrunch, a majority stake in Coins.ph's cryptographic exchange was sold to the ride-ride startup Go-Jek. The exchange says it has 5 million users, and plans to feed xRapid payments between the Philippines and the United States.
Meanwhile, the creator of the popular XRP Tip Bot is strengthening the security of the platform. Before a recent update, any user who decided to change their Twitter handle could lose their balance.
I just added a little bit @xrptipbot safety. By changing your Twitter handle, TipBot gives you the ability to migrate your balance (from the old to the new handle). However, if someone forgets to do so, an attacker could log the old handle and request the balance. No more 😎
