COVID-19: 15 new cases and 1 other death in Bas-Saint-Laurent

Fifteen new cases of COVID-19 were added to the daily report drawn up by CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent on November 21. Unfortunately, there is also one more death, bringing the total to 15 since the start of the pandemic.

There are 11 new people infected with COVID-19 in the MRC of Rimouski-Neigette, 3 in the MRC of Matanie and 2 in the MRC of Mitis. Note that one case associated with Témiscouata MRC has been removed from the balance sheet.

The total number of cases identified since last spring now stands at 672 in Bas-Saint-Laurent, of which 110 are active, according to data from the CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent. 549 screening tests were carried out yesterday.

REPORT ON EMOTIONS

The current outbreak at Résidence Les Bâtisseurs de Matane is stable. There are 89 infected people in this living environment, including 66 residents, 20 workers and 3 health workers. We regret 5 deaths. 23 residents and 13 workers are now believed to have recovered.

The same goes for the Résidence des Sages de Matane. This outbreak has 25 cases, including 15 residents and 10 workers. Unfortunately, two people with COVID-19 lost their lives there.

The situation is also unchanged at Rimouski’s GMF-U, with three cases.
