Coronavirus: Queen Elizabeth wears a mask for the first time – Royals

Now the queen is wearing a mask too.

British Queen Elizabeth II (94) first appears in public wearing a crown mask.

He visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Westminster Abbey. The monarch laid flowers there on Wednesday, a spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace told the German news agency on Saturday. In keeping with the occasion, the queen’s mask was black.

Until now, the queen has always been without a mask.

During a visit to a weapons technology center near the city of Salisbury in southern England in mid-October, he had not worn any armor and had to come under criticism for it. The rules of distance had been respected, it was said at the time from the palace.

Other royals can be seen wearing masks on a regular basis: Duchess Kate (38) prefers delicate floral motifs, for example, Duchess Camilla (73) varies more and sometimes wears a cap with a peacock print.

In November 1947, Elizabeth married Prince Philip, who is now 99, in Westminster Abbey. He currently resides on the Sandringham country estate in Norfolk, England. England is currently in a partial blockade.

During the first blockade, which was subject to much stricter contact restrictions, the Queen and Prince Philip lived in seclusion for months at Windsor Castle near London. With a small group of courtiers, the elderly couple took refuge behind the thick walls of the castle and remained healthy.
