In the United States, a contestant from the show “Wipeout” (also known as “Man Overboard”) died during filming held on November 18 in Santa Clarita, California.
The participant, in his thirties and who had previously passed a mandatory medical examination, completed the course with obstacles. At the end of the test, he felt sick and complained of chest pains.
The program’s emergency personnel, which includes two paramedics, gave him first aid and assisted him with a defibrillator, but unfortunately the young man lost his life in a hospital.
The name of the deceased participant and the causes of death were not disclosed.
The production company of the show expressed its condolences.
