In addition to the launch of Firefox 83 today, Google announces Chrome 87 released with further performance improvements. While Mozilla developers are happy with JavaScript’s “Warp” enhancements, Chrome 87 comes with its own performance enhancement work. Chrome 87 has improvements in tab adjustment, occlusion monitoring to see which tabs are really visible, and an improved back and forth cache to improve responsiveness when moving forward or backward between visited pages.

Starting with this release, Chrome actively manages your computer’s resources to make the tabs you like faster, allowing you to keep hundreds of tabs open, so you can pick up where you left off. says the official statement.

OR Chrome 87 also brings several improvements to the PDF viewer, support for video conferencing camera control (pan / tilt / zoom on compatible hardware), the JavaScript Cookie Store API as a new JSON-based way to access cookies, and other enhancements for developers.

Knowing which tabs you’re using helps Chrome manage your computer’s resources more efficiently to do your business. “We have made significant improvements by preventing background guides from activating the CPU too often and no longer displaying guides that you cannot see” guarantee.
